SANMINA ACQUIRE 11,000 SQ FT HI-TECH PREMISES
Global technology leader Sanmina, has acquired a hi-tech unit in Cherrywood on Chineham Park.
Sanmina’s Basingstoke business operations evolved as a result of a buy-out of a division within Motorola. As a consequence, Sanmina required their own self-contained premises and opted to vacate the Motorola complex on Viables.
Unit 3 Cherrywood was let to Sanmina by bdt acting for Chineham Park owners, MEPC. The Fortune 500 Company signed a 10 year lease with a 5th year break clause, enjoying a rent free package to offset some of the substantial fit-out costs required for their bespoke business operations. The unit totalled 11,174 with 21 car parking spaces, and following fit-out, will combine offices with light assembly, R&D space and a full height warehouse section to the rear.
Sanmina makes and repairs some of the most complex and innovative electronic, optical and mechanical products in the world. They are headquartered in California. The Basingstoke division specialises in the delivery of comprehensive logistics and electronic repair services for a wide range of products and clients, by way of ‘same day’ or ‘next day’ shipping.
